WONDERFUL EASTER TIME!

What a wonderful Easter weekend we experienced here at Calvary!  First, on Saturday, we had our amazing EGGSTRAVAGANZA for our CBC kids and others invited from our community.  Special thanks to Charli Caywood, MerryAnn Ledbetter, Karen Gilmore and a host of others who helped plan and implement this children’s event.  There were games, an obstacle course, food, a gospel devotion, and of course, the Easter Egg Hunt.  If you haven’t already, you can view pictures from the event on our Calvary of KPT Facebook page.  I can remember not so long ago when our children’s department was down to a very small number.  But our children’s workers were faithful in planning and teaching those who came, and God has brought us more! We certainly had significantly more than just a few here Saturday.  I didn’t get a count, but when all the kids and parents came into the clubhouse, it was full!  And we are having significantly more on Sundays and Wednesdays for Konnect Kidz.  Of course, more kids creates the need for more workers.  If you are willing to help out in our nursery and extended session on Sundays, please let Becky Hill know.

Then, on EASTER SUNDAY, we had a marvelous time of worship celebrating our crucified and buried, but risen, reigning and one day returning Lord!  Our musicians and choir led us to the throne in praise, and then we sought and found the Lord Jesus in His Word.  What a great day.

And then, on the Sunday after Easter, we had our SPRING CONCERT.  Everyone did a marvelous job.  Mikel put together a tremendous program.  Very few people know the amount of coordination and the long hours that go into a programs such as this, but what a blessing it was.

BUT WAIT!  THERE’S MORE!

On May 4, we will celebrate the ordinance of baptism in our morning worship service.

On May 11, we will celebrate Mother’s Day at CBC.  Please contact the church office if there are babies needing to be dedicated that day.

On May 18, we will recognize our high school and college graduates.  If you or someone you know is graduating please contact the church office so that they can be included.

I hope to see you in all of these services as we celebrate the Risen Lord Jesus every single Sunday of the year!
